I wouldn't necessarily agree, especially for a club like Leicester/Hull/Burnley/etc. Of the 550 people following Hull from Australia, all were supporters before we were relegated last time, so it stands to reason they would continue to be after another relegation. Sure there might be some new ones who jumped on after last season - who I have yet to see - but I think you could say the name of any other club that was only promoted recently.

He is a spud in La Liga where its more technical. In the EPL his pace and power is perfect

He'll never win player of the year in La Liga like he did in EPL

No because when Ronaldo leaves Bale will go to the left where he's more natural.

Such is his talent that he can deliver on the right side when he's playing well. At the moment he is spudding it up and not showing improvement

Hull, Leicester, Burnley would/will all lose international support if/when they are relegated. It probably won't be so much the expats, or the more committed supporters, but that would be the case for all clubs.

I guess my suggestion is anyone who 'jumps on' a club like that would 9 times out of 10 realise the liklihood of said club's relegation. I can't imagine many casual fans jumping on a relegation battler so I would think those that do are generally the sort to stick with a club. I would think a club like Leeds/Newcastle/West Ham would have lost a lot more foreign support when they went down because it was so unexpected.

A much better look at attendances is the table below. Back when grounds like Anfield & WHL weren't capped with terracing restrictions etc.

FWIW someone has done City's average since 1906 and come up with 35k.

So maybe those early years (when some clubs didnt exist) skew the figures as well.

Chelsea are as entrenched in the International Footballing market as any. It's utterly absurd to think otherwise. Some of the stuff you've said there is just rubbish.

Liverpool haven't won a league title in how long yet still have such a massive following? They've been in about 2 title races in 20 years yet they fill the MCG and stadiums in Indonesia. I could handle Arsenal possibly thinking they are on or above Liverpool's level of support, but Chelsea is just ludicrous.

European Football Statistics (not sure of web address but can google) is a good resource for historic attendances.

According to that we've had 85 years in the first division, 25 in the second and 1 in the third.

Chelsea have a massive following in Asia Jod. India too. Remembering we are talking about regions that represent a significant amount of the world's population. The majority in fact.

There is plenty of room for a number of clubs to have huge support in those areas.

Of course but Chelsea's support in Asia and India would be dwarfed by our support in those regions.

As I said it's United and Liverpool way out in front. Then Arsenal some way back and then even further back to Chelsea I'd say.
