I've heard September. Unfortunately he can't be relied upon anymore.

What will you be doing to replace him? Are you going to be looking for a new number 1 or a much better number 2 (than you currently have).

I think we'd be looking at a new number 1. Rodgers has said that he wants a top line striker. And as previous posts have said, Sturridge can't be relied on anymore. With injuries, he's now depth basically. Expect us to sign Danny Ings because he's a great technician and has great character.

Yeah he's definitely going somewhere. I'd love us to have a crack at him but we don't really need more strikers. I wouldn't mind Nugent leaving for Austin but I doubt Nugent will go anywhere.

You reckon that much? I was thinking 10-15 but I guess you could be right. I don't think we'll be chasing strikers anyway but he'd be a great addition for any club.

Yeah Ings is a handy player but definitely not being brought in as a #1 striker. He & Origi (if he doesn't go back out on loan) would be more of a replacement for Borini as our 3rd/4th options to use in the League Cup/Europa League, keep Lambert around as that 'plan B' type CF.

Luciano Vietto is the name that has been mentioned pretty consistently over the last few months, 21 year old Argentinian striker with 20 goals 8 assists for Villareal so far this season. Wouldn't be surprised to see us look at Berahino either. Also 21, has a similar record to Vietto, a style that would suit us and would no doubt benefit from being surrounded by the likes of Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge etc.

Obviously every man & their dog will be looking at Lacazette and while we could easily afford him and we've held an interest in him since this time last season, it seems likely that a few bigger fish will be chasing that bait. He'd be the ideal choice as that replacement/partner for Sturridge, and if we can't get him then 1 of Vietto or Berahino.

Benteke is another name that is being linked to just about everyone at the moment. I think he's a great player but probably not for us. We tend to have a pretty bad record when it comes to getting the best out of big, strong forwards like him.

TL,DR: Based on what I've heard over the last few months, I'd expect us to go for Ings as a replacement for Borini and 1 of Lacazette, Vietto or Berahino to replace Balotelli as our #2 striker to play alongside or instead of Sturridge.
