Chelsea could ground share with Fulham for a season.
Craven Cottage only holds 25K so I can't see that working, especially given that we need a larger capacity stadium.

I'm another that does not think that club sides should play out of the national stadium (no matter the club). They should have to ground-share with another club.

Its an option too

Will sharing with Rugby work? They like the grass cut longer.
Emirates stadium surely the best bet if Arsenal would be prepared to make some money out of leasing it to you for a season.

Thats not gonna happen.

More chance of Jose and Arsene going on a romantic date

No it isn't. Twickenham don't want football anywhere near that stadium. My work mate lived across the road and they hated the football crowd even coming near there.

Twickenham is strictly rugby.

chef why do Chelsea have to play elsewhere? I havent actually read anything about the upgrades or what is going on with the stadium. Are you completely knocking it down and rebuilding on the same spot or are you just expanding SB? If you are just expanding, cant you continue to play there like we will continue to play at Anfield while it is being expanded?

They are completely demolishing it and building a brand new Stadia. The pitch won't be in the same position either.

According to some reports and people apparently ITK elsewhere we are still negotiating with the RU boss about it as an option with Wembley. So I'm just going by that.

Emirates....yeah nah. Never happen.

I'm not sure why Olympic Stadium isn't an option though.

Oh that kinda sucks. If you are demolishing and then building on the same spot, how are you going about making it a bigger capacity. Unless you have done a Liverpool and bought up surrounding places and knocked that shit down.

Also, when are you demolishing it. You will play at SB next season right? Also, how long will it take, only one season playing elsewhere? They can build a huge new stadium in less than a year??

Rumours are we will be decking over the ajoining railway line and that will give us plenty of room, the pitch will also be a bit lower into the ground as well.

The bigger problem was always exits from the ground, this is said to be sorted.

We'd be playing elsewhere for 2-3 seasons.

Fair enough. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen though. They hate football haha.

Money talks.
Maybe. I'm only going off my work mate but he reckons they've always distanced themselves from anything football. It would need to be a lot of money to change decades of thinking I would have thought.

If they're 'in talks' as Chef claims, I would think that the stigma has already been overcome or they would have been turned away at the door. Not sure your work mate is really an authority. :P

Have you got a link that references these 'talks' chef ?

I don't know, I trust the family that's lived across the road for many decades. You're absolutely right that they obviously wouldn't be privy to the business discussions though of course.

Not to go off topic but didn't you also have a mate that was convinced Mitchell would be a Blue this season haha. I dunno, I guess I'm just saying I'd trust Chef's sources more.

He wasn't a mate, just someone off this site that has a decent record. We did talk to Mitchell, he wanted to break through in the Swans team though.

Yeah fair enough, I'd expect you to. As you say, money talks. I just know that the stadium has not wanted football anywhere near it before. Which is backed up by the fact it hasn't been played there before.
