Not sure if its been mentioned already but...

“Real are the third of José Mourinho’s old teams [that] Rafa has coached,” she joked. “We tidy up his messes! If you think about it, of course you end up crossing paths. There are only a few world-class clubs out there.”

But Mourinho said: “The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I’m not laughing, because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti.

“The only club where her husband replaced me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time.

“And for her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think she needs to occupy her time, and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me.”

Not pulling any punches!
Game set match Mourinho!

Yep, I thought it was fair enough and a bit funny.
Fair enough getting personal over someones weight? Isn't that almost bullying? :S
Thought it was an lazy come back, if nothing else to say, attack him for being overweight.
I like Jose but found that pretty poor.

Each to their own i guess, José just needs to fart nowadays to get people up in arms. TBH thats really probably as tame as it gets in terms of insults. Maybe the person starting this fire should be the one having the finger pointed at her.

Plenty of history between Pool/Chels/Rafa/José.

I did like his lady is confused line, and the way he factually and accurately pointed out that Rafa replaced other managers at 2 of the 3 clubs. For me the knock out blow was when he said Rafa almost ruined the best team in Europe in 6 months.

That was gold.

But then his comment about worrying about her husband's diet seemed a bit of 'you're a woman, stay in the kitchen' mentality. For me, unnecessary.

I took it as "Rafa is fat and you're making sh*t up"

Both of which are true

Coach sacked for not picking owner to play in Barca match

"Ex-Hearts joint-manager Anatoly Korobochka has made the bizarre claim that his refusal to select the Scottish club's owner - Vladimir Romanov - for a pre-season match against Barcelona in 2007 led to his sacking at Tynecastle."

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2015/07/29/coach-sacked-not-picking-owner-play-barca-match

Fryer Tuck - I believe we have discussed the colourful character that is Romanov not long ago! :p

Hey hey, our Lithuanian owner of Hearts! You know something, considering the nature of that guy, I'm not surprised. Then again, we had Alan Pardew play for Crystal Palace, but that was in a testimonial match if I recall correctly. Of course, this is Barca, and as expected, Barca did win, not like his inclusion would've made too much difference to the result. It is living the dream after all, lol.

Who in football has their wife make comments in the media?
She's free to say what she wants about football like anyone in the world. But a manager responding to comments made by wives, might as well start responding to forum comments lol

If I was a professional football manager I'd be pretty embarrassed and pissed if my wife was making nonfactual comments to the press
