Yeah, Alli's looks to be the same action, just slightly less forceful.

It all comes down to whether it would be deemed a red card offence, doesn't it? So if they have deemed that, surely an appeal isn't likely to succeed.

Alli's season will be over if he accepts the FA charge, which would result in a three-match ban.

So he has been banned - pending the outcome of a (potential) appeal.
