well i do remember him trying to laughably prove that etihad were profitable and being cut down pretty hard.
Someone saying they have doubts that Etihad are profitable isnt proof that they're not.

If thats cut down pretty I'd hate to see you finally get one right.

At the end of the day what Mansour has done is not a good investment but as has been mentioned before he doesn't give a s**t because him wearing £700m to start with is like one of us dropping 100 bucks on roulette at the casino.

It's definitely a quick way to bring footballing success though. Of that there is no doubt.
Time will tell. He's already made several hundred million back through the sale of 13% of CFG.

The clubs worth hundreds of millions more than it was when he took over.

Our revenue has grown by around 500%.

Costs are going down and will continue.

And we've not even started the next phase of the project.

you seem comfortable relying on expert opinions to justify your clubs business model but not on finance or airline experts with regard to Etihad.

Pretty funny.

Not to put a dampener on things but didn't Sheikh Mansour issue new shares for your communist friends rather than sell existing ones? That will devalue existing shares.

I'm not relying on expert opinion to back up my claim that we have turned consecutive profits.

It's public record.

And no expert has shown any evidence that Etihad didnt turn a profit. They said they had suspicions, one of which was that Etihad received partnership fees from partnership airlines without making clear how much they invested in those airlines.

As far as I can tell an investment in another company wouldnt form part of the P&L anyway so I didnt consider those suspicions particularly relevant.

Don't think so.

I'd try it if i had 30 odd billion lying around.
I have it lying around somewhere, I just can remember where.
Wait a sec, I'll just lift this seat cushion. Nope...

Your FFP losses since Sheikh Mansour took over are also public record (totalling nearly £500m) as was your £200m investment in infrastructure (not part of FFP losses).

A very long way to go before all of that investment is recouped. That's when you are making true profit. And it's telling you continue to ignore losses and go on about a small profit in a 12 month period like it's a huge achievement.

I'd be bloody worried if I spent £700m on a business and couldn't turn over at least a small profit every year.

lol I could read these arguments all day. Wait a minute, I think I actually do :$

It's like hearing a poke addict go on about saying they've just won the major jackpot of $2000 but failing to mention the $20,000 they've lost already.

Autocorrect got you I believe :)
Compare the pair.

FFP accounts have never been released publicly. I think you're confused on this one.

A profit is when your income exceeds your costs in a reporting period. You don't have to recoup your investment to make a profit. That's just something you've made up.

I'm not making out like it's a huge achievement. It is what it is.

Plenty of successful business start out making losses. But probably not something you need to worry to much about.

So now the £700m spent is irrelevant. Couldn't make this s**t up seriously. A bank would laugh at you if you said that.

you used an expert opinion to justify the business model, not profitability.

there is no public record of Etihad making a profit and you tried to use one audited account within a group of companies to justify it which was rightly mocked...
