has anyone noticed how shite Bellerin has been this year. Regressed so much. rapist first touch and can't cross the ball. He's been overtaken by Coleman, Walker and Valencia this season.
Started the season brilliantly, copped an ankle knock a few months ago then a subsequent knock on his return weeks after the initial one. Has been playing with it since and it's obvious in watching him - he can't hit top pace and isn't playing with the same confidence.

He's the least of our worries, anyway.

I do get where Jod is coming from.

It takes absolutely nothing away from the journey/achievement that Clucas has managed but there's a reason that it's a new record.

He's done exceptionally well to get to where he's got but I don't think a player wants that record unless their career starts in non league football.

Take Sterling for instance - reckon he'd want that record or to have played in the PL the vast majority of his career?
This is what I was getting at. Sometimes im shit at articulation.

Here's an interesting little statistic (if true. It looks like it is, but I got it off twitter):

Luis Suarez in the PL: 107 starts, 3 sub appearances, ~9,600 minutes, 69 goals. ~139 mins/goal

Harry Kane in the PL: 93 starts, 12 sub appearances, ~8,472 minutes, 68 goals. ~124 mins/goal
Took Suarez a while to find his feet. Kane has a great goalscoring record but Suarez is a million times the better footballer. Has been the best player on the planet not named Messi or Ronaldo for about 4 or so years now.

The run home.

FDR Explained:

It is based on a complex algorithm that analyses the performance statistics for each team across their home and away matches. It then combines this data with each team's home and away form over the past six fixtures.

This creates a value that offers a perceived difficulty for each team when facing them home and away.

These values are then simplified into ratings from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest difficulty value.
Such a lovely run home. But id rather our graph be full of red and orange and we'd win the league. If we actually start doing the business and beating teams we should be beating then we will qualify for CL.

How long did it take for him to find his feet?

Took Kane about 10-12 appearances to cement himself in our team

Yeah, as PP said, the injury has sort of messed him about.

are you using squawka stats again? i thought we'd already had this convo
Just to show the number of goals an assists this season.

Kind of like showing goals up to the age of 23...

Didn't Kane have an incredibly slow start in his first and second seasons?

not really. Pogs is twice the player at 23 that Lampard was. not even remotely close.
And McAuley is far more dangerous goal scoring threat in the PL in 2017.

u comparing an ankle injury to a double leg break?
Nah I'm saying their copping out blaming a small injury.

Just like I think will be a cop out to still use Shaw's injury as an excuse for weight/training performance issues. Unless he actually physically can't meet the standards required to stay in shape (which could be the case) he should be expected to start performing soon

Shaw's problems are mental. He's afraid of going into heavy challenges. yet to be seen when/whether he'll get over that.

Some players just aren't the same after a serious injury. Lucas was killing it before he suffered an ACL in Oct 2011 and suffered another serious injury at the start of season 12/13. Came back at the start of 2013/14 but wasn't the same ever again after playing barely any football for 2 years. Some of that is physical, some mental.
