"You're using the ethnic stereotype that all black men have large penises because you think that makes it funnier"
"It's not an insult though is it?.... It's a compliment if anything"
"It's a myth!"
"I dunno Jennifer, I could show you a magazine, where..."

"Could you?!"
"Well I haven't got it with me, but when you're next in..."

not bad from the wing and bench.

I'm sure your academy will produce someone as good at some stage in your life.
Just saying that goals on debut, while nice, don't count for much.

If Rashford one day matches the hype around him you'll have an incredibly good player on your hands.

But I've seen a few overhyped United youth players have good starts to their career before.

I'm just happy he gets better every week. He's only 19, has huge upside and a great attitude. As long as his attitude holds and he avoids injury, he'll be a quality player.

I think United will be very happy with his development. He fits their style of play, is doing as well as you would expect a kid to do at this stage of his career.

But he has a long way to go, and a lot of improvement left to do.

Few self-indulgent stats so sorry, but I've still got a massive Spurs buzz after this morning.

^And that was before his second. Can't see Ronaldo beating Kane to this years Ballon d'Or tbh ;)

For context, they probably should include the age of the player when they started that run of games in the graphic. For example, RVN was 25 when he joined United and in his prime, Aguero 23 and he'd cored 75 league goals at Atleti, Henry 22 with 100+ appearances in other top leagues, Wright 28 whereas Fowler was 18, Kane about 20, and Owen 17 etc and it was effectively their first 100 career top flight goals.
Fowler was a phenomenon. If a kid that good that young was doing it in England now with the internet, social media and press. Jesus, it would be unbearable.

Did you see Rio Ferdinand's rant about people comparing Rashford and Woodburn to Michael Owen?

He's spot on, young players get so hyped up these days before they've even done anything. Can only imagine what it'd be like if they were actually doing what the likes of Fowler and Owen were doing at that age.

it's a product of people changing their views on a game by game basis. he's exactly right. someone does something and instantaneously the comparisons begin. you expect it from fans, but to see it on masse from the media is just ridiculous.

everyone loves seeing a young player come through. most people wish they could see more of them play for the senior sides more regularly. but 'let him breathe' is bang on. i do wonder about the mental health of some of these young kids when they see people in the media place huge expectations on them just cos they run fast or can kick a ball really hard.
