Has been named German player of the year for 5 out of the last 6 years IIRC. They love him. Certainly doesn't deserve his spot based on club form.

It's amazing how decent Sergio Ramos appears to be before the start of a match and then he turns into a complete campaigner during the match lol.

Haha, I was just recalling Stewart Dew's 5 minutes of magic in the 2008 GF and how the particular moments of commentary from that day still stick with me in a spine-tingling way. This prompted me to go on a Youtube spree watching amazing moments in Football such as Aloisi's penalty/Jesus Kennedy's qualifying goal/Aguero etc. I think it'd be a good idea to have a thread dedicated for it on this board.

Not that I'm aware of mate but feel free to start one.

The obvious one I remember is the AGUUUUEEERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOO moment. Great commentary that added to the whole, incredible event.

I'll give you one of the most spine tingling 3 minutes of commentary as soon as I can dismiss my students and I can find the German (not eastern european) version of the video.

All you really need to know if you dont speak German is:

tor = goal
doch = yes

The background? Quarter finals of UCL. 1-1 draw away at Malaga. Went up 1-0 in the first half, then 1-1, and then Malaga went ahead in the 80th or so minute 1-2.
