Brave Captain Scott Scotty Parker?

Fabulous hair.
Black boots, shirt tucked in, good man.

Haha I genuinely Scotty Parker though. Underrated as an actual footballer imo.

Parker was quality. Picked up player of the year in 11/12 didn’t he? Got injured after that though.

What a man

Fwiw, I actually didn't mind Parker haha.

there is the style change to deal with too. i dont know if leicester will still play the counter attacking style under puel, but since coming to city he has trained exclusively in the possession style.

It looks like under Puel, we will be developing our 'superior possession' style. It will be 3-4-3, with Iborra, N'didi, and likely Silva to rotate. We will still have our counter attacking style, but we will be more flexible with our options. We could potentially have Grey, Mahrez, Chilwell, and Kelechi all playing at the same time. Madness.

Suddenly, come January, our CM situation looks quite good. Iborra, Silva, and N'Didi, very good!

Puel taking over could be the best thing to happen to the youth of our club, Kelechi included.

I don’t really understand why Moomba is taking the piss out of Scott Parker. City could only dream about signing a player like him before the oil cash rolled in. Money does turn people into arrogant tossers it seems.

You've been rocking the boat a fair bit the last few days. Been drinking?

Anyone read up on Bruce Arena's recent comments about the P2P system over there? Pretty much said it's a non-issue and that no one slips through the cracks, which is true if you're white and loaded with cash.

That place has a long way to go before they get any decent at football if idiots like that are running the show.

He is a shill for the establishment. Same reason he got to resign rather than be sacked.

and yet he loves Gareth Barry.

Don't know how anyone can seriously say Scott Parker was underrated. The guy won player of the year playing for a West Ham side that finished bottom of the league. 6 points off 19th place and the guy somehow gets named player of the year. He was then made England captain lmao.

Good player but was hugely overrated for a time.

Scott Parker's West Ham performances were some of the best individual displays I've seen to this day.

Hahahahaha.

Hahahahaha.
The original Mark Noble.

Parker was around Gareth Barry's level, good hard working player who for a time was a good foil/partner to an actual great midfielder but really nothing spectacular. Barry had Yaya and Parker had Modric

I think that's harsh on Barry. Much better player than Parker and one that probably was a bit underrated.

Barry was a regular starter for City when they won the league and got little fanfare. Parker meanwhile was winning awards and getting the England captaincy for getting relegated with West Ham.

I always liked Barry, he did his job and did it very well. Had good distribution and very smart on how to plug holes in the back 4. Ridiculous that we tried to replace Xabi with him though, not in the same stratosphere in terms of talent

I don't wanna bag Parker too much coz I remember him scoring a great goal to beat us under Kenny when West Ham went down, that was pretty embarrassing. He was a good workhorse who was more of a jack of all trades master of none, he carried water well

EDIT: Oh now I also remember him getting bossed in midfield by Christian ****ing Poulsen in that same season at Anfield
