There's always this effort....

Now I'll let you guess who made it...
Carrick??

Lol.

You don't know what it means do you.....
Yeah you and pups were banging on about it the other day. All I could take from it was that you both take BigFooty too seriously and you need to go out and get some uncontested vagina.

The handful of times I've seen Tottenham this season, the one thing that's struck me compared to last season is the speed (or lack of) with which they transition from defence into attack. They're much slower getting the ball in to their key players in the final third than they were in 15/16. Consequently while they're less vulnerable to being countered against, they're also giving the opposition more time to set up a block across the top of the area. They've lost that ruthless directness that made them so difficult to defend against last season.
It's weird, if you were to do the player of the season now it'd be a good chance to be Wanyama. No standout matches but has been consistent through out.
It's weird because he'd be the first I'd drop, Dier is better on the ball and has good diagonal long balls.

That said, as eluded to by jd, he's not merely twiddling his thumbs and hoping things change, he's switched formations at times and the 3-4-1-2 has alleviated this problem at times. I think the key to this may actually be Sissoko, he's the most direct, has pace, power and takes on his man 1v1, often winning them. He's arguably changed the game in our last 4 matches since his banishing too. Oh and can't underestimate how much we're missing Lamela, the best presser in the team who is rather creative and can pick a pass.
