I had money on the Victory to win Friday night. campaigners.

A good start to the A-League season, really. Looks like the quality has risen yet again, with the league looking really competitive this season. It's impossible to say, at this stage, who's going to win it with any degree of certainty. Although Sydney did look really impressive.

****ing LOL at the Newcastle keeper tackling his own team mate though. From what I seen that was really the only 'LOL da A-League is shit, I only watch Euro football' moment of the weekend, yet of course every snob jumped on that moment as indicative of the quality of the league.

Was watching the Socceroos coverage on GO last night and then Goal! came on afterwards. What a movie. Got a serious lump in my throat when Santiago's grandma gave him the money to go for his trial. The feels man. :D

I've seen it, ruined the franchise! :p No idea what they were thinking with it...even Cashley PAID to have a cameo in the movie (instead of investing in the actual squad he had).

Goal 2 was decent at least.

Have you seen Green Street 2? IIRC, it had a prison yard match between the West Ham and Millwall firms to 'win' their freedom. That was at least a better movie than Goal 3 :D

Yeah seen the green street movie. That prison match was pretty intense :)

IIRC Goal 3 wasnt produced by the same company as the first two and ended up being a budget direct to dvd flop :(

That would explain it! Had very little reference to the previous movies - I think even Santiago was just a minor side character in it as well.

Yeah he got fat than broke his leg in a car accident. Great storyline :)

Too many coronas and pizzas once he made it big in Spain. What a lazy campaigner. All went downhill when he left the Toon. As if you'd trade the cold and rain of the North East for sun of Madrid! :D

Liked purely because that gif is one of my absolute favourites. :D

Goal! is great, both sequels were gash.

Was a great stroll down memory lane - saw a younger Rafa too instructing from the sideline against a (fictional) German manager. Fast forward 10 or so years and look who's at the helm of both clubs. Funny game football. :D
