I feel quite bad because me and my mates used to join in giving Paul Stewart a lot of stick when he first arrived as he was pretty gash. He improved when Venables moved him back into a midfield position though

Yeah, nah.

I'm not going to stop hoping we win the league other wise I may aswell stop supporting Liverpool.

You're a strange unit WR.
Just trying give you some valued, friendly advice Jodlington. You can hope to win the league, but you have to balance that with expectation. Thats all I'm saying

I think you a fair chance myself.

We are stuffed when the inevitable injuries come for Matip & Lovren. Klopp has fallen out with Sakho completely and will be selling him in January. Klavan / Lucas as backups do not fill with confidence if it's long term. Gomez is talented but is coming back after 18 months out and will probably be loaned in January so he can get first team experience with Klopp's mate at Huddersfield.

There's no chance you win a PL after spending -20m in the summer window. It just doesn't happen.

How much did Leicester spend in their title winning year?
We bought Okazaki for 7m and Kante for 5.5m, along with making Huth permanent for 3m and Fuchs we got on a Free.

We bought in Grey for 3.5m, Amarty for 5m.We also got Benalouane for 5m and Inler for 3m

We sold Wood for 3m and Nugent for 4m

To put it in perspective, even if one discounts the selling, we spent more on Slimani (29m) then we made additions for the entirety of last season.

Granted, we got a bit lucky with injuries, but the key thing is that we were just more consistent than the others for those results.
We are no chance of winning the title. That's between Chelsea/City/Arsenal.

No Liverpool fan can tell me with a straight face that they have no chance to win the title this year, especially after last year. I know 12/13 still hurts, but one should only focus on their own games and results. There's far more fight now than there was even 3-4 seasons ago with this silly money.

Don't look at the names of City and think 'Oh crap, they're going to walk it without effort,' bull crap, I say. Focus on your own games, and get the results. When you play City, frustrate them and get the results.

This isn't the competition of the biggest names, it's the competition of who can get the most points from the other 19.

Just keep them ticking over, and who knows? It may be unlikely, but do what you need to do, and suddenly, it opens up.

So I went to my first a league game and it was a good experience.

jod23 i was like you but its a good day out tbh.

Had a few beers and sung some chants was quite nice

Were you at Victory-Jets? That wasn't even a good game! :)

Just no interest for me bro but glad you enjoyed the day.

So many A League fans just like yourself who used to have absolutely no interest including myself. If you like football you'll come around eventually.

So, Martial the latest on the ever increasing #lolmou shitlist?

if lfc cease to exist, i dont think jod would have any interest in football.
some luv a club more than the game/
I love the game also, I just enjoy watching it at the highest level. Watching League Two games where they punt the ball up the field, hack eachother down with little to no skill is kinda boring.

Then when you watch the top players play and football is truly beautiful.

The A-League is pretty garbage and I have no emotional attachment to it.

It's never gonna happen for me guys. Let it go.

This. No emotional attachment.
Hard to get excited about a Melbourne Club either.

I was in the same boat as you Jodly. Willing to bet you'll change your tune eventually.
