I know Australia will have had it's fair share of pedos but it does seem like it was a massive thing in Britain in the 70's.

You hear about Crewe for instance and while it's terrible, you'd like to think it's just isolated to one guy. And yet we're hearing it was multiple clubs and potentially rife in football.

In legal terms Chelsea FC is still the same entity so you'd have to deal with any legal action arising out of it. Sounds like you've acknowledge the club was at fault and have offered settlements in any case.

Where there are young people you will find paedo's I guess. It's harder now because working with youngsters involves a lot of vetting and checks on individuals - something which just wasn't around in the 70's. I was born in '73 and only had one encounter with a paedo so it wasn't rife even though these stories make it appear so. Also worth baring in mind that children had more freedom back then - making it easier for paedo's to gain access to them.
