I dont know about that, just off the top of my head.

Shearer
Henry
Owen
Fowler
Suarez
C.Ronaldo
Rooney
A.Cole
Yorke
Drogba
Bergkamp
Hasselbaink

That's 12 mainly strikers off the top of my head. RVP, RVN are another couple, but I think he fit somewhere between 15-25.

What the hell is Jimmy Floyd doing there?

Nah Irwin earned his rep, better than the rat IMO
He's definitely better than the rat who is hugely overrated. I think Irwin is overrated but was still very good, but some people speak about him like he was England's answer to Maldini or something.

But dont get me started on GNev. Limited technically and going forward. A bloke who got the maximum out of himself but certainly not as great as many think.

Terrific striker in his prime. He was just a name that popped into my head. He's scored over 100 goals in the PL hasnt he? That's not in order, I was just trying to think of attacking players. JLH would be somewhere in the top 25. 20-25 maybe.

But then if you open it up to attacking players, that includes AM's obviously and it starts to get really tough for spots. Hazard, Silva, McManamoney, Ozil, Sanchez, Zola.. the list gets long.

Having said all that Le Tiss is absolute top draw.

He's alright but nowhere near top 25

imagine if he came at his peak....
if he played at a barca type club from his youth hed be up there with messi imo.
No he wouldnt. Zola was a great player but he wasnt a big goal scorer. Messi in a bad year scores like 60 goals. They are world apart. Messi is GOAT. AT stands for ALL TIME.

I always feel as though the defenders always get undersold in these types of debates. After all, defending is as valuable an art as scoring or being sublime on the ball. Would any of them go close to being the best player ever? I've only been watching football, let alone the PL, since about 2010 when I was 18, so I am in no way qualified to add anything significant, but would the likes of Vidic, Terry etc be worthy of being in the discussion?

Didn't Cruyffy and WR do a thread on the best PL players of all time only a few months ago, anyway?
Yes, and I let him put Ryan Giggs as bloody number 1 :mad::mad::mad:

Liked for McManamoney :p

Surely you lot can get over him by now, it's not like he moved to Man Utd or Everton on a bosman ;)

watching osasuna vs sevilla. 2-2 in the 75th minute. osasuna play the striker through on goal.

he's onside by half a yard. Linesman keeps his flag down......ref overrules him and pays a free kick for offside :drunk:
I'm so pissed about these "mistakes" by refs. I reckon I'm just gonna shut up about it now instead of being a broken record.

and now a massive push from vazquez in the back. absolutely horrific.

it's not even a mistake at that stage. never seen anything like it. a ref overruling a lino who never made an offside call, only for the player to be onside. even the sevilla players were bemused.

i just don't understand how you can overrule the linesman on an offside. the linesman is in line with the last man and the the ref is 5 yards behind play ffs.
