Moyes had no idea who he wanted to buy. Plenty of money was available. We had been scouting Herrera for 2 years but dumb campaigner Moyes wanted to wait 12 months and scout him themselves. Big name players didn't want to play for Moyes.

Herrera wasn't a big name player before his move. There's nothing wrong with a new manager waiting to find out if a target (previously scouted) would fit his system.

I don't know he would have done as badly if he'd been given the funds (wages) to sign an Ibra/Martial etc. Fellaini wasn't a great purchase but it would have been interesting to see who else he would have signed. Ed did as bad a job in that time as Moyes in that transfer window.

I can't be bothered checking how it currently sits either but it was true a month or so back when I first saw the comparison. That just proves my point though, these graphs tell us nothing about how well a team is actually playing as it can take a long time for a new manager to turn results around. Any idiot can see how much better off you guys are under Klopp.

Tbh I think Man Utd's still recovering from Moyes, one guy's complete ineptitude brought a halt to the winning culture of a title winning side and they still haven't regained it
