Except he wasn't and you're kind of proving his point by immediately directing the argument back to instances where United have benefitted from controversial decisions. Who is saying that we haven't had decisions go our way? He never said that we haven't had calls go our way, he's just saying that those calls are given far more attention than the ones that don't.
The very notion of posting an article to point out decisions going in your favour is to suggest that you have 'copped' it from the refs. If it was merely to point out that you have got some and copped some, then I'd like to see the side-by-side numbers as I still suspect you have benefitted more than you have suffered
That isn't the point he's trying to make at all. Over the course of a season every club is going to benefit from controversial decisions at times and suffer from them at others but pointing this out is not suggesting that it all evens out. Ask any fan if they think the decisions that go their way cancel out the ones that cost them and the answer will be the same.
Well no, again this is a lazy cop out. To say "Ah well you win some you lose some" is dismissive of the terrible standard of reffing in the PL, particularly towards lower clubs where refs think they can get away with poor decisions. We've had one poor decision (Snodgrass dive against Palace) go in our favour all season, and well over a dozen of stonewallers go against us. Just this week we've had a red rescinded which could have cost us our PL status.
