Not posting this to talk about us. More about Arsenal being the 2nd best side over the past 2 years yet you'd think they've been a disaster

They made Europa League.

Why wouldn't they be allowed?
Because of their ownership/partnership status with Chelsea

Pretty sure they've finished in a EL position before previously but weren't allowed in because you guys were already in a UEFA competition.

If say Watford and Udinese both finished in a European spot one year then only Udinese would be allowed in as Udinese is that families main club.

That stat means pretty much ****-all imo
Agreed.

Although if you don't win it this season, I doubt there would have been a team with that many points (over both seasons) that hasn't won at least 1 title during that time.

woefully underperformed but that's what happens when you buy crap and leave old players in critical spots. at least the sterling, kdb, stones and gabby jesus deals look the goods and they're all young. but mangala, otamendi, those sorts have been disasters.

Its more of a friendship with both sides benefitting. We dont own Vitesse.

We've never denied them a European spot as i dont think that's even possible. If we were in the same pool our loan players there could even play against us.

**** it, I want to make it about us.

It's genuinely sad (for us anyway, other fans won't care) that we've been the best side over a combined two seasons and also picked up 50 points across the last 19 games of this season (which, extrapolated over a whole season, would give us a 100 point campaign!) and yet we won't win a title in either. Spursy, indeed.

£270m for City is just insane.
thats why most people just lol when citeh supporters like kizz and moomba cry poor.
city is atm a pretty crappy club with rich owners who just throw money at any problem they have instead of trying to fix the culture of the club.

well maybe we should ask other clubs to lower their demands in future?

or maybe chinese clubs to offer 50 mil for players we don't want?

net spend, realistically, means absolutely nothing to clubs who don't need to sell to buy. sure it looks flash in a column, but you don't get bonus points for it.

While the approach of running a club on pretty much a blank cheque is rightly criticised City certainly are not a crappy club. They are a well run club, of that there is no doubt. What club wouldn't be well run with the investment they have enjoyed?

To me most of City's issues stem from having to replace most of the team that was bought in a huge spending frenzy between 2009 & 2011. They are finding it tough to negotiate good transfer deals and are suffering as a result.
