well maybe we should ask other clubs to lower their demands in future?

or maybe chinese clubs to offer 50 mil for players we don't want?

net spend, realistically, means absolutely nothing to clubs who don't need to sell to buy. sure it looks flash in a column, but you don't get bonus points for it.

I think clubs should be offered competition points for keeping spending under a certain amount. Would certainly make things interesting in the PL.

While the approach of running a club on pretty much a blank cheque is rightly criticised City certainly are not a crappy club. They are a well run club, of that there is no doubt. What club wouldn't be well run with the investment they have enjoyed?

To me most of City's issues stem from having to replace most of the team that was bought in a huge spending frenzy between 2009 & 2011. They are finding it tough to negotiate good transfer deals and are suffering as a result.

Lfc has outperformed citeh with hardly any spending. How can you say citeh are a well run club, in what regard?

We haven't outperformed them yet at all this season. Wait until the last round has been played.

This is one of the worst LFC squads I can remember vs one of the most exp squads ever assembled. Seriously there is something not right at citeh and its more than just a couple of defenders being cooked

thats why most people just lol when citeh supporters like kizz and moomba cry poor.
city is atm a pretty crappy club with rich owners who just throw money at any problem they have instead of trying to fix the culture of the club.
Try harder

Got some great young players with their best years ahead of them.

Are they that great? You wouldn't be stuck in a battle for 3rd/4th place yet again if they were and they aren't so young anymore.

From afar it seems like a soulless club atm.
I kind of know what you're saying here. But isn't that what happens when your club becomes successful? You get all plastic and corporate. Seen that happen at Chelsea and arsenal too

We've got a dozen games out of the likes of Jesus, Unal, Roberts, Moreno, Zinchenko, Garcia between them. Sane took half a season to get going and looks a class act. Sterling and Stones are more established but still a long way from their best IMO.

You looking at around two thirds of our spending over the last two seasons.

Not all will make it with us but if half of them do where set up nicely for the long term.

To a degree yes.
I haven't see it as much in CFC though for some reason. But in arse and citeh yeah, they've sacrificed too much of their soul for money

I think a lot of footballers struggle mentally when they come or approach the end of their career. Could be that, could be something entirely different though. Hope he's getting the care he needs

Not sure if it's about football or personal stuff but I read it's stress-related.

WealstoneRaider thoroughfare is the same as a motorway isn't it?

One of my earliest favourite players. Terrible to hear he isn't doing well. Reading between the lines seems like he was either out of it on alcohol or other substances or considering self harm. Get well soon Azblud

Yeah it can be.

What I'm getting from this, is that he's on foot and is doing the same sort of thing that Clarke Carlisle attempted not long ago - if you remember that story. The Police were following him for sometime thank God. You have to be in a pretty desperate state to be sectioned though, so it's very worrying.
