The security threat level has gone up to it's highest, it's only been critical twice before. By definition that means that a further attack may be imminent.

Army drafted in to protect key sites freeing up cops to walk the street (have seen quite a few around even in Alty/Broadheath). I think it's more a case that they don't need the extra work involved in maintaining security at a parade.

It's a shame, cause you want the place to carry on as it did before. But understandable.
