I can see where they are coming from but for the fairness of the comp that shouldn't get through
If people really cared about an even league they'd have tuned into Ligue 2 which had about a point separating the top few sides. People tune in not to see an even game between Swansea & WBA they tune into the story of the big teams. The ratings around the world for games not including the top 6-8 sides show thatThe evenness of the league as a whole is what makes it so interesting to watch. So no I don't see where they're coming from.

I agree with what you're saying but in terms of the # of viewers over the whole 38 game season the top 6 sides would smash the ratings of the rest of the comp and would be the basis of their case. It's basically how the domestic TV rights are split (by who gets the most televised games) but since all games are televised internationally their point is ratings on that whole lot of games being how the money is split.People did pay a lot of attention to that though so your point is a bit moot.
I didn't mean people tune in to see Swansea v Stoke, but they tune in to see Bournemouth beat Liverpool, Hull beat Liverpool, Burnley - well, they tune in to see the minnows beating up on Liverpool and just the legitimate competitiveness of the title race because of this.

Like I said for fairness of the comp going forward it shouldn't happen because it'll make the gap grow. But their point about being more watched internationally than a Burnley or Bournemouth is correct.
Nah I disagree with that. People will still care about Spurs v Bournemouth regardless because a good team is involved. The international rights are a lot smaller than the Sky/BT domestic rights iirc so it wouldn't be that big of a game changer that sides like Bournemouth are no longer competitive against the top 6. I think the top 6 sides are just after a more educated split than 1/20th each because their games are probably making up for 70-80% of total international ratings. The domestic rights aren't split 1/20th to everyone but is still fair so they'd be after something similar for the international rightsI think we're agreeing but coming from two different sides to this, if the Top 6 got a bigger cut, the only games people would be interested in generally speaking would be games between the Top 6 which would harm the league in the long term.
The FA could be nicer with fixturing like they are in SpainI wish there was a way to make EPL clubs in Europe more competitive in Europe. But the EPL clubs from 8th-Last more competitive in the EPL.
to compete with real and barca who dont share their tv moneyThe question I have is why do they need more money?
They are already splashing out on individual players that are worth as much as our whole squad.

That has zero relevance to British football though. They don't play in the PL.
They do play in the Champions League where the Top 4 do play.
That's just a bonus for doing well in the league AND earning more money others in the league will never have a chance too.
Should never be any kind reason to impact PL policies/deals.
