If we get brought out by these German blokes and they want Jans Keller, then I hope not.

Don't know much about him, would he be that bad? Wasn't he linked to another Championship team recently? Norwich maybe?

Not sure if this the right thread but what do people predict the playing style to be next season? At the end of this season a lot of teams adopted 3 at the back. Although this is Conte's forte, he's a step ahead kind of manager and I hope he adopts a 4-1-4-1.

The premier league is renowned for fast paced counter attacking football. If everyone plays 3 at the back it will simply come down to who has the better players man for man. With arguably the best managers in the world it will be interesting to see how formation/style evolves this season.
I expect that we'll continue to rotate between a 4-2-3-1 and a 3-4-3 depending on player form, availability and the opposition.

What will be more interesting will be the tactics accompanying the formation, rather than the formation itself. Pochettino's high pressing game has proven to be far less effective on the bigger Wembley pitch when compared to the tighter WHL dimensions. It will be interesting to see if we continue to play the same way or if we'll be a little more cautious this season, particularly in the CL games where it really cost us last season. It's easy to press against teams lower down the table at a place like WHL when they don't have the technique or players to play through it. It's a lot more difficult to do it against technically good teams on a bigger pitch like Wembley.

Former Schalke manager and was absolutely gash. 12/10 do not want but we've been linked with Alan Pardew if Tony Adams takes over so bring on ****ing Jens the boss.

Given Rafa is a pretty defensive minded manager, I expect us to continue playing a 4-2-3-1. Even at home in the championship last season against weaker sides, he still preferred it instead of playing 2 up top.
4-2-3-1 is Rafa's jam.

Did I read it right there are now 3 clubs in the £1bn club for PL transfer spending. Insane amount of money.

Doesn't really mean much if you don't take into account how much the clubs have earned as a result of on-field performances.

It's still £1b spent on buying footballers in 25 odd years

Which have led to various trophies, growth in stature, and huge amounts of income.

It's like fixating on a company's expenses rather than profit.

So inaccurate. United have outspent us easily.

Chelsea - 1,252,199,000
City - 1,214,830,000
United - 1,011,950,000
Liverpool - 917,805,000

Where do your figures come from?

I'm not talking about clubs profitability though. Just that they've spent over £1b on buying footballers. It's not that long ago to remember the first £20m player Denilson back at Real Betis.

It's just a wow stat not really judging anyone on it
