thats why he was a shit coach. the best managers are the ones who watch various leagues and learns from them. if you only watch epl, wtf are you gonna learn, how to be run like a headless chicken?

Yeah, nothing to do with adapting to the culture, understand what exactly you have at your disposal, or how to handle a squad in the first place.

There's a big difference between being a good analyser of the game, and being a manager of a football club.

It's not like you can get some worldly armchair critic off their backside and suddenly coach a team.

Because Sandro Mazzola would do a much better job.

That said... English coaching is at an all-time low. When Graham Potter is currently the best English manger out there, you've got serious issues.

Worth mentioning Aguero setting a new City goal scoring record night. 178 in just 264 appearances. What a signing he's turned out to be.

Might make a team of the year one day too.

Looks like Sterling has really stepped up a gear this season. Has already just about matched his career best tally for goals in a season, and we're only 14 games in.

City fans/anyone else who has seen more of him than I have this season, what's the story? Has Guardiola given him a different position/role or is he just putting his chances away more consistently?

he's incredibly confident. it was building last season but he has just stepped it up a new gear this season. similar story with stones. they just have that confidence about them.

He's playing inside a lot more this season (helps to have fullbacks with the legs to provide width). I think he's looking more confident and more assured with his role in the team this year as well. So probably a bit of a combination of a slightly different role and natural development.

He's got to put it together over a whole season but I think he's got another couple of gears to find still.

Nobody gonna mention Evra the dirty campaigner doing a Cantona?

Huh? He was racially vilified and you want to call him a 'dirty' campaigner?

He once dressed up as panda as a result of racism, he was just living a boyhood dream.

Get that close to players and I no sympathy for the fan.

Is it true that he got a red card before the game started?

Has that ever happened before? Did Marseille play with 10 men for 90 minutes or did they get a late replacement because the game hadn't started yet?
