This was the game where away supporters with tickets were met at the train station, escorted to the ground, made to wait outside the ground while the game was going on, and then escorted back to the train station without seeing a second of play.

You have to doubt every bit of "evidence" used by the stewards/match day officials to justify that.

It's calendar year so incorporates the start of this season. Should be based on a season as a whole IMO.

If it's based off the 2016/17 season then he deserves it. If it's the calendar year of 2017 then scoring 2 league goals in the 2nd half of the year should put him out of the running.

I did see something about Ronaldo and messi’s 2016/2017, ronaldo has 49 goals in 56 games with 4 trophies, Messi has 52 goals in 61 games with 1 trophy.

Going off last season he deserves it, but his start to this season has been ordinary, Messi or Neymar will take it out next year.

Ballon D'or should be awarded at the end of the club season. Kinda ridiculous that a player who has been very poor so far in season 17/18 can win it. If it was an award for season 16/17 it would make sense.

Nah. Crowds go up and down. This happened back in 09/10/11. Crowds will bounce back.
