Generally it only happens when a player is convicted and sent to prison unless it is a mutual agreement.
It's just a choice clubs make. A prison sentence isn't the difference between misconduct and gross misconduct.

Why would sack flanno? He made a mistake.

What giggs did was worse

Having an affair is worse than assaulting someone?

I know you're just trying to get bites but thats pretty shit mate.

This reminds me of Danny Simpson. Done for exactly the same thing, and that was before he was only known as the backup RB. Was facing jail time too.

The club did their own internal review on him after his guilty verdict came out, and well... we know not only was he not sacked, but became the starting XI right back for us later on.

I would've had him sacked then, performing or not (and yes, for some people, the perception on if the player is a star player or not does have a say for those people.) But there was something that the board found that convinced them to keep him, and well, at the very least he has improved his behaviour.

Maybe Liverpool will do the same, do their own internal review, and see what comes of it, punishment-wise.

Everyone talking about Morata and Lukaku underperforming and needing to settle in and whatnot just makes me appreciate Harry Kane so much more.

**** we struck absolute gold with him.

How would you feel if your bro or sis was doing your wife for years behind your back?

Theres no doubt what Giggs did was an atrocious and disgusting thing to do but assaulting a defenseless women is much worse in my books.

Both are seriously low acts. Giggs act tore apart a whole family

You can forgive a moment of madness, everyone has them, but what giggs did was years of fukin over your family.
Did anyone call for giggs to be sacked?
I ain’t gonna condone violence, especially against women, but I get where you are coming from. If it was a genuine one off - after a blazing drunken row or something, then everyone deserves a second chance in life as long as they are remorseful. If he is a serial abuser though who hasn’t sought help for his anger then **** him.

Giggs act is disgusting. Really low and unforgivable

This is why you're the best poster on here.

Morata is what happens when people praise the **** out of players before given adequate time. In September it seemed like he was being called the best striker in England on here and since then he’s massively flopped for 5 goals.
He came from a club with high standards. English clubs just not at the same level. When Ozil and Di Maria came to England the same thing happened. They look really good and eventually become shit.

I think they can both be despicable campaigners who did awful things without needing to rank them against each other.

I think the characterization of Flannagan committing domestic violence as a 'moment of madness' is reductionist and undermines the seriousness of it.

What I'm about to say a lot of people may disagree with. Re: Flannagan and double standards.

If you are already on the outer in the squad because you are not good enough you are on more thin ice than someone who is a starter IMO.

That's just the way I see it.

Im calling the following

Everton push out Allardyce at the end of the season and get Fonseca from Shakhtar

Conte quits Chelsea and signs with AC Milan

Hazard tries to force a move to Madrid
