Because that's not an invasion of privacy at all.

The club provide that information anyway to the FA so it shouldn't be too much of a concern. Besides, plenty of apps we use these days provide our location and it isn't a problem. It just seems silly that the FA need to know where players are at all times and don't use available technology to do it.
