Recent history suggests an era is roughly 3 yrs.
I take it you are referring to the Bombers and the Lions? Neither of those sides rebuilt from the ground up like we did. We have a core playing group of 20-25 year olds. I'd expect our window of opportunity to stay open until Scarlett, King, Harley retire in 5+ years time. I don't think that is unrealistic.
tiger of old said:i put this to you.both the Cats and the Saints are the next in line to port.
both your midfeild and the saints are pretty much on an even keel.what the saints have is a archillies in their defence and ruckan.with the recruitment of Ottens why not exploit that weakness?
Ottens would undoubtely help us exploit the weakness but he comes at a big price. I consider him a good ruckman but we already have a quality one in King and a promising understudy in Mark Blake who should get game time this coming season. As a forward, I'm not as convinced on Ottens ability. He would be much much better target than Kingsley, who as frustrating as he is kicked 45.45 odd for the year which accuracy aside isn't too bad, but Ottens has never proved himself as a forward consistently. Throw in his injury problems and IMO he is not worth two first round draft picks or our first pick and Tenace, Kelly, Bartel etc.
