Ditto Nathan Brown :D

Pretty soft considering he was one of the leading Brownlow (and Coleman) favourites before he broke his leg.

Also the part where he didn't cry or carry on when being carried off with his leg at a right angle really was even softer!

LOL...for a while there the Tigers left Ottens alone. They were in the top four and everything was fantastic. Then Browny broke his leg and now they are back to bitching and moaning as there season went SNAP. LOL. 400K a year for a bloke who I could hop faster than, lol. F***** OFF YOU WHINGING ********EN LOSERS

LOL. 400K a year for a bloke with a bad back & groin. LOL

In all seriousness Ottens is a good potentially great player (if he can sort out his pack marking and his once fantastic kicking for goal) and probably what Geelong need with Graham gone and some of the other younger forwards not coming on, Brown is a superstar and there is no doubt the Tigers have lost all momentum since his injury,

But then again Richmond were a woodenspooner last year and were expected by most to replicate this including pretty much every Richmond supporter,

Geelong however were being talked up as Premiership contendors yet they only have one more win then Richmond so whose season has gone "SNAP"?

Anyway I just like talking footy so I'm sorry if my input is unwanted on your board.

Just because they cost us nothing means squat. Gary Ablett snr cost squat, doesnt mean youd give him up.

As for the forward line, hes been okay for sure. But as the focal point and the guy we kick to every god damn time I dont think hes kicked enough goals.

Lets not be silly , I admit Tweek was a good quality mid but comparing him to GAJ is drawing a long bow.Im not sure you could really say pick 40 in 01 was nothing anyway when we got Playfair for pick 41
If I have any doubts over the trade it would be the kids we miss out on like Patterson.Look the thing about trading is your really dont know till way down the track. Look at Carlton now, all the bleeding hearts saying the cheats have been penalised too hard but what about their trade mistakes. The trade Pick31 for our own Michael Mansfield who got us Paul Chapman. What they would give for him now.

It isnt your input. If I was to come on your board and say.

"Nathan Brown is cr@p, he isnt worth what you pay him, blah blah blah"

You would rightly tell me I am a w@nker, why because he is a gun and crucial to your teams success. There where numerous games this year where Nathan got slaughtered, hardly touched the ball and had no impact at all. But in another couple he kicked goals off his own boot and won you the game.

Ottens is the same. He has had a couple of down games, most have been good and a couple have been excellent. He is vital to our teams success and I would happily trade what we did for him and then some. I dont know why tigers fans keep coming in here and bagging him out. Over the last few years for your side I could only name maybe 4-5 players who have showed heart and been any good. I think that Ottens playing injured for a side that was getting pumped was one of them. Remember your whole team was cr@p, very very cr@p and dont get too excited yet because it still aint all that much better.

Threads like these remind me why I enjoy watching Richmond fail.

It's like watching a simpsons repeat. You have seen it all before, you know what is going to happen, but it is still so damn funny and entertaining.

Well you could argue that Brown left a club that was failing him

but then you could argue that for Otto

or also ask why Brown would leave one sh*t club for another?

Oh well good luck to Browny, break a leg ol son

Here's something for you to ponder.

After 14 games, there is only one win difference in the performance of Richmond and Geelong.

Now you tell me, who is the team who is failing taking into account last seasons results, and predictions for this season?

Richmond will finish 9th-12th

That's about where I had them at the start of the season.
If you are happy with that, good for you.

Last years premiers, the premiers from the previous 3 years before Port. Collingwood, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Footscray, Carlton.

1 win less than Geelong, and we are failing?

Knobs.

If you'd finished 16th the year before, wouldnt you be reasonably happy with those results?

Im guessing you are one of those people who predicted the pussies would win the cup and the Tigers the spoon.

Gold!

If you continually come to this board and perpetuate your infatuation with Brad Ottens, you will get what you deserve.

FWIW, well done to Richmond for outstripping my expectations of you so far this year. I think you will struggle for the remainder, but you have still done well with the cattle you have.

Geelong may only have one win more than Richmond now, but let's check back in after round 22 and see how the ledger stands. It's quite possible the difference could be more like 7 or 8. Time will tell.
