Mate, we're both going to have threenagers soon.I’m currently laying on the floor of our first borns bedroom because he refuses to go to sleep.
Not sure I’ll overly miss the 2 year old phase.

Our home office is next to our eldest room so I've graduated to "night night I'll just be in the office" and watch youtube or something for an hour or so.I’m currently laying on the floor of our first borns bedroom because he refuses to go to sleep.

What do/did you guys do when your child refused food? Or nearly 3 year old is pretty fussy and won't even try things we put in front of her.

Nice thread, I think I'll need this. I am currently juggling a 5 month old boy, new puppy and back into shift work. Well, I should say the missus is juggling the bulk of it, but I take on everything I can when I'm not working.
I have a five year old niece who refuses to try new foods. She eats the same thing every meal time - some crackers, berries, cheese and some kind of biscuit. What's concerning is that she won't even eat the cracker if it's broken. I have gently tried to raise that there is probably some 'tism there.
She will happily not eat if these things aren't in front of her. She has a three year old sister who is almost the same size as her. All medical opinions have simply said it's behavioural, however I'm not sure I agree.
I have mates that taped plastic on the wallsIf kids are throwing food try a discard bowl. It can work a treat if they’re in the mood.

FWIW our now four year old didnt really have the threenager thing.Mate, we're both going to have threenagers soon.
This became apparent to me when I was whinging to a colleague that my son had lost yet another school hat, and then she confided that she was scared her teenage son had knocked up his girlfriendEveryone I work with that has older kids tells me you never stop worrying, the bigger they get the bigger their problems are.

We tried that too. No interest lolIf kids are throwing food try a discard bowl. It can work a treat if they’re in the mood.
Yeah every kid is different at the end of the day. She actually slept for nearly three hours and was bearable for most of the night.FWIW our now four year old didnt really have the threenager thing.
Terrible twos were not bad.
Three wasnt bad.
Hes had a period of about two months going into four and as a four year old where he was a raging little smartass but frankly i think its all a bit overblown.
Yeah, big kids, big problems. Mate has teenage girls and one was cutting herself.Everyone I work with that has older kids tells me you never stop worrying, the bigger they get the bigger their problems are.
Yeah you definitely don't want that call either.I'm at the point now where I half expect a phone call saying mum's put her car in forward instead of reverse and is now parked in a greengrocer's shop.
I was bath and bed dad. The most awesome job I've ever done in my life, loved it loved it f###ing loved it, and now that she's 13 and my height (she's tall, I'm not a midget!), I can't wait until her 27yo stepsister gets with the programme and gives me and her mother an opportunity to be ridiculously overindulgent grandparents. I took her to the cricket for her first ever game in Cairns the other night, so we're at that stage now, hanging out as mates...!Not that I think this is what my wife is doing by any stretch but I bloody love that I get exclusivity in putting my toddler to sleep.
That's helped by the fact that the little one absolutely refuses to let me put him down between the hours of about 8pm-8am.
