IMO too many shows/movies try to make us empathise with the villain but by the end the penguin is, unequivocally, a bad, bad dude.

1st episode in and so far its a good start. I don't know how it compares to other Mob genre shows/movies as that isn't my thing but enjoyed the character development and store line so far.

I think it’s knowing that being an evil human stems from certain traumas which can make it relatable. We don’t all start off being inherently evil.

Great show, massive Sopranos do Gotham vibes (even down to the mummy issues) which is not a bad thing at all. Gonna have to re-watch The Batman because it seems like it will be a long wait for the sequel

Colin Farrell was amazing and the actress who played Falcone/Gigante also outstanding.

Batman 2 has a release date of October 2027. Im not even sure if thats a lock either.

But yes, effectively we are both right, just articulating it in a different manner.

Yes I guess there is potential for there to be season after Batman 2 in late 2027, we are talking here of a TV series of what a release date in 2029? Wowee.

What may even happen is instead of The Penguin, they may do another villain instead?
