A survey of renters found the top 10 suburbs for vibrancy were Northbridge (duh), Cannington, Highgate, Leederville, Fremantle, Carlisle, Murdoch, Bunbury, Perth, East Victoria Park.

Would not use this to describe Carlisle or Murdoch
Or Cannington. Or Bunbury.

Murdoch isn't that far away from me and would have to be one of the dullest suburbs in Perth. Home to a university, two hospitals (3 if you include the hospice), a vet hospital and a bunch of houses mostly occupied by middle class Asian families. Pretty sure there are zero pubs, bars or restaurants in the suburb other than whatever is on campus (Murdoch so prob free range gender neutral lentil stalls or some shit) so I'm not sure what makes it 'vibrant'. At least most of those other places have pockets of activity.

Cannington is probably called vibrant by all the Asians that live there, and with Carousel becoming a massive mall with restaurants, they'd all love it.

Carlisle and Bunbury are the strangest ones for me.

I think there might be something in the stretch between the hospitals and the train station, if you include that.
