His third child is less than a year old and unplanned. There would be more to this than I think is being reported. Tim is a passionate member and has been an outstanding rep for Perth and this has come as a real shock.

Health issue could be behind it (and a very legitimate reason)Don’t think she was unplanned - I am aware that there had been previous miscarriages which had caused some emotional (mental) concerns with his wife when she got pregnant with the third baby and the toll it took with him being away all the time. It could be exactly what he says it is but I only recently received an invitation to a function he was holding as a precursor for getting ready for the next election so too say I’m surprised is an understatement

If you quit for family reasons, you don't then shunt to a state role, I think that is disingenuous.Hammond had a little accident after getting elected though so having two young kids and another baby wasn't taken in to consideration for such a role. Hopefully he can do something stateside. Gorman will be the man to take over.
I don't think so; the problem is distance and separation from family, both of which would be eliminated with a state role. That said, he made clear he wouldn't be moving into state politics and it seems likely he will return to his old job.If you quit for family reasons, you don't then shunt to a state role, I think that is disingenuous.
I did it for 8 years and I reckon I got out just in time.My partner recently started a FIFO role and she is already struggling in that regard, no idea how people do it for a decade ++
Doing alright now then?I did it for 8 years and I reckon I got out just in time.
Yeah. Much better thanks. It's amazing how much difference being able to sleep in your own bed every night makes.Doing alright now then?
And now I just lost the last bit of this battle to stay awake today.sleep in your own bed every night makes.

Well at least he can still add it to his cv which is the main thing. He's said he's done with politics and going back to being a humble everydayan barrister getting paid just as much if not more.
He can probably move back to Nedlands now seeing as he was parachuted in to that seat.
It’s not a bad venue, reminds me of the ones in Melbourne. As in the lay out is good.Did anyone ever make a conscious decision to go The Clink?
I'm 99% sure every patron just ended up there somehow.
Even though I don't go there that often would hate to lose the local one, but being about 200km from the nearest chicken place I guess it would just bought and converted into a Red Rooster.Chicken Treat on the verge of bankruptcy. Say it aint so.
Nooo, in the news?Chicken Treat on the verge of bankruptcy. Say it aint so.
Yeah. Reds and Oporto are in deep shit too. But CT is distinctly West Australian, would be a damn shame for them to go under.Nooo, in the news?
Reds started in WA too. And yeah I did a read, its to do with dodgy overpriced forced supply chains on franchisees.Yeah. Reds and Oporto are in deep shit too. But CT is distinctly West Australian, would be a damn shame for them to go under.
