I wouldn't be flocking to a 'safe' SE suburb like Carlisle, St James or Cannington based on those stats.

Right up there for total assaults and burglaries but is also a big LGA. One of only a couple with 20k+.

I think it gets an unfairly bad wrap. It's at the low end of the socio economic scale and carries the problems that come with that (#1 for domestic violence) but it's not Detroit. Most people that live in Armadale just lead normal Australian suburban lives.

I lived in St James for six months and it was easily the worst spot I've lived in.

My home of Thornlie is an interesting one, one of the break in capitals of Perth, 9th for crime in total, but it's right on the average for crimes per 100 people, as it has a population of about 24,000

Big suburb is Thornlie. I lived a year in Carlisle. Not keen on going back as my home was trespassed on or broken into so often I still have issues sleeping.

Sounds like shit's getting real at that joke of an organisation Perth City Council..

If Lisa Scaffidi had an iota of honour or dignity in her blood she would've stepped down long ago and this whole mess wouldn't have come about.

Agreed but in this case it doesn’t sound like she’s the only culprit so it’s a good thing the whole lot are gone. It annoys me that they will continue to get paid - not as though it’s their “real” jobs and on top of that there will be 3 commissioners that will now need to be paid - where’s all the money coming from

Yep it's a corrupt lot headlined by their Lord Mayor.

If the Local Government minister would step in and nuke the whole thing and start again I daresay there won't be much public opposition to that.
Not quite, two different cliques at work, and Scaffidi lost some of her supporters at the last election. If she had gone, they might have been able to salvage a council, but she decided to bring everyone down.

Silent Alarm lives in the 3rd worst suburb for crime.
A notable difference between my burb and Freo proper - Freo’s would go up due to the meathead bogan ferals who punch on after the Sail and Anchor. Weekend evening Freo is gross in the worst spots but great when you get off the strip and outside of the station to Parry Street intersection.

Beaconsfield or Samson?

I know this from a local govt council calender which had which of the 6 seasons at the top of each month.

At my workplace our counselling rooms are named after the seasons and the colours used in each room reflect that
