Suppose it’s all about what you are expecting, as it’s predominantly a place for fishing, trail bikes, camping, hiking etc.

If you are looking for a fancy resort and a cafe strip then it’s probably not your thing

We went fishing there, don't think I've been anywhere else where you have had to through back about 20 undersized fish to get just 1 above legal limit.

Aren't you the one that said when you go away you need all the creature comforts of home.

Your point?
Did I say “this is a favourite holiday destination of mine”

Got a haircut today around 3pm and the woman cutting my hair mentioned something about upcoming lockdown/a rush for haircuts (I wasn't really listening, I doze off into internal monologues/arguments when having sit on public transport/get a haircut/wait for an appointment.

Obv must go around the hairdressing circles.

Keep heading up the coast
Cervantes,Greenhead,Leeman are all nice quiet places right on the coast

A bunch of local youths stole mall my fishing tackle one night at Cervantes. To be fair, it was all unlocked and sitting in the boat on the trailer. Put I presumed everyone in Cervantes already had fishing tackle.

Couldn't go fishing the next day, had to settle for the Pinnacles then going drinking at the bowlo from noon.

Planning a mini-holiday with the missus one upcoming weekend at Moore River/Guilderton area.

Have already lined up the observatory, is there anything else up there worth doing?

This ended up being a fairly good weekend. It was actually a surprise for the missus and she seemed to enjoy it, so at least I have some brownie points saved up for the next time I burn dinner or go watch footy instead of Masterchef.

- Friday night at the Observatory was cloudy so didn't get to see much but did get a pass to go again and take a look on a less cloudy night. Did have a good laugh when someone asked one of the experts if they believed in Astrology. Was handled pretty well by the host tbh.
- Stayed the two nights at the Guilderton Caravan Park which was fine. Unfortunately some issues with their council means that the little shop near the Caravan Park is closing in a months time which is a shame.
- Spent the Saturday doing a few walks around the area and went and played soccer golf at their golf course which was pretty good fun. Wouldn't have minded playing the real golf course and might do that as a boys trip next time I get a chance as a day away.
- Sunday visited the Pinnacles and got lunch at the Lobster Shack and all in all was a pretty good weekend.

The only sour bit was the terrible driving by a few motorists on the way back. Absolute troglodytes,

Moore River is a nice spot. Love kayaking up the river and just feeding the millions of tiny bream in there. Bit of a bugger that the shop is closing though.

Indian Ocean Drive seems to be a magnet for complete bell ends. Marked contrast heading inland up Great Northern as far as drivers go compared to that stretch of road.
