Judging from the tail end of the presser (thanks for letting me know, by the way), it seems he's just being wary at the moment and reevaluating tomorrow when more test results come in. So far it's a good sign that her husband tested negative - shows that maybe with the AZ vaccine she just wasn't that contagious. Here's hoping.
I think it will very much hinge on the rest of those tests and where those people have been.

He said he didn't want to point the finger, but the lesson out of the situation was the acting quickly
Oh point the finger, Gladys is at fault. Stupid clown has been carping on at everyone else telling them what to do and then fails when put to to the test.

I haven't heard from John Barilaro about WA yet, someone should check on him.

NSW really likes their corrupt weasels dont they?

A corruption scandal affecting the Premier and her Cabinet would normally be fatal for other state governments.

Normally.

Anyway, back on track, a hosing plus a big Eagles loss plus possible lockdown = miserable FP

Not much accountability from any side of politics these days. Treating it like a zero sum win or lose game.

At the time, arrivals from NSW were not required to isolate.

From all reports, she has been doing the right thing at all times - tested negative upon arrival, monitored the updates from NSW frequently, then when she developed symptoms found out she went to one of the exposure sites in Bondi she got tested and isolated until confirmation.
I thought all interstate arrivals had to isolate. Maybe I'm going off old info. My mate came back from Tasmania in January and was required to isolate for two weeks purely because he'd been interstate.

Was it because he transited through Victoria?

But yeah, before all this interstate arrivals were not required to quarantine since a few months back - subject to various state-by-state controls depending on instances of community transmission in that state

There is still a vast difference between say Moccona and International Roast, though.

Oh boy, strap ourselves in again.

Vast? lol in your opinion.

In my opinion? Splitting mickey hairs when it comes down to best grade of instant coffee = relative grades of shit.

Give me that hand made sweet chemistry over a concocted cup of excrement any day of the week :thumbsu:

Quite possibly. All academic now I guess.

I just drink Moccona, come at me.

Don't mind at all a proper on from a family member that has an expensive proper machine but not sure it's worth the massive boner people get over it either.

I actually prefer instant coffee to the stuff people get all snobby about. I'm a man of simple tastes.

Can someone explain to me why turning away people already on their way to the footy is OK but stopping 20,000 people from going to the rugby/basketball was in the too hard basket?
Not sure if this is correct, but I think the last time restrictions were introduced it was the day the documents expired for state of emergency and special powers, so they had to wait and do a bunch of paperwork to make it all legal before enforcing restrictions at midnight. Where as this time i think those documents are still valid so they can enforce restrictions at any time.

He's isolating because he has been caught up as a close contact of the positive NSW politician. Might not be wise for him to speak up until he returns a negative test result on day 10!

That didn't really answer his question.
1 case = no crowd in Perth
But here in qld with a few days of a couple of cases there is a crowd at state of origin.

The WA hospital system must be truly f’ed up if they are this risk averse
Plus McGowan and Cook love jumping at shadows. It won the election after all.

The election is in 3 and a half years. Today will be forgotten by then, assuming the three days of masks and no crowds is all that happens.

What won't be forgotten is a botched response that leads to long lockdowns - notice how we still talk about the Victorian second wave from mid last year but not about the SA or Queensland short and sharp lockdowns mere months ago?

This is Electioneering 101 that would have been employed by any government in Australia now that we have clearly gone for COVID eradication strategies.
