The weather was wet and wild last night, there was even a tornado in City Beach that did quite a lot of damage.

There is much nicer weather today but it is still pretty cold with a forecast maximum of just 14 degrees.

Wind is the worst type of weather.
100% wind sucks.
over here, every Sep and Oct as the weather warms it also gets windy as land warms up and you get terrible onshore winds.
its such a tease because coming out of winter its warm, beach looks inviting and its blowing a gale.
lasts a good 4-6 weeks before it settles

ive seen some good photos and vids from the storm

It was 0.3 degrees on Friday morning with several spots in the metropolitan area felling below zero. Pearce recorded -0.3, Perth Airport and Millendon (Swan Valley) dropped to -0.8 while Jandakot fell to -1.3.

Gingin was the coldest in the state with -2.2.

The good news is we've passed 2022 and 2023 for YTD rainfall.

26, 17, 26, 10, 41 mm in the space of the last week. Hopefully at least some runoff/groundwater soak from that.

It is sunny today and my house feels like an igloo. My house is old but we really should be better at this by now.

City of Joondalup have stopped all sport trainings on their ovals from yesterday until friday to help the grounds recover from the recent rains. Some ovals are in really bad shape due to the amount of traffic they get on them. I believe City of Wanneroo have done the same.

Cue my surprise when I walked past my local oval this morning which is home to a large junior and senior football club and the sprinklers are on.

Great effort COJ

CoJ have to be about the worst local government these days don't they? Led the way on sucking as much cash as possible out of community and sports clubs and have spent $0.00 on the facilities or playing fields.

Led by the mayor who always seems to land on his feet

Anyone watching the Fever in the Grand Final this weekend?

Can't say I am but they are pretty well supported. Got 11,000 to the last game and the GF is sold out. Had no idea it was that popular. Pity I don't like netball, would be nice to support a Perth team that doesn't stink.
