She's clearly the victim in all this. Poor thing, she's like a white modern day Rosa Parks. The good news is she's not racist at all, she has many friends from other races, but...

"People know the name."Has Serco ever done anything right?
Has Serco ever done anything right?
Err... yep- back to the pool for pick up.
The good news is that traffic has cleared up a heap.
A friend of mine is an emergency doctor and says there are massive issues brewing at FS. They're apparently grossly understaffed for the numbers they're receiving.Went passed Fiona Stanley the other and it's very impressive. The little robots that carry stuff around is pretty cool. Don't know wtf Serco is doing though - Blood and body tissue found on medical instruments at Fiona Stanley Hospital puts Serco sterilisation contracts in jeopardy.
I wanted the amalgamation. Our current shire are w***ers who only seem to care about the flash areas whilst the lower-mid areas struggle. **** them and **** everyone else who voted against the amalgamation.Infrastructure and debt. It's the only way to afford it in most cases and it's a way for future generations to pay their share of the infrastructure they will be using. The recent attempt to amalgamate local governments was based on a systemic sustainability study that said they weren't sustainable in the long term. One of the main points the report made note of was the fact that local governments don't borrow enough money to undertake larger infrastructure programs.
Squealing about debt all the time is a smoke screen. I'm surprised that people keep falling for it.
Does his mobile phone work?A friend of mine is an emergency doctor and says there are massive issues brewing at FS. They're apparently grossly understaffed for the numbers they're receiving.
I've been told that they have a very high numbers of 'trainees'. So staff members can't just go about their business as usual because they are also training others. Hopefully just a short term issue.A friend of mine is an emergency doctor and says there are massive issues brewing at FS. They're apparently grossly understaffed for the numbers they're receiving.
I'm surprised that they're using mobiles at all. I would've thought that their communications provider would have implemented an independent wireless network and staff would use a dedicated handset or mobile soft phone.Does his mobile phone work?
I can't believe that planning was so poor that doctor's mobiles had little to no reception in the hospital. You'd think that, with the size of the place and its function, phone services would've been an important consideration.
I read an article either online or in the paper a month or so ago.I'm surprised that they're using mobiles at all. I would've thought that their communications provider would have implemented an independent wireless network and staff would use a dedicated handset or mobile soft phone.
Relying upon the carrier for intra-hospital communication is absurd.
That shouldn't matter. As long as they are within range of the hospitals wireless network they can make and receive external calls as well. You can even set it up to ring on their mobile phone concurrently in case they leave the grounds. There's heaps of options beyond relying on the carrier.I read an article either online or in the paper a month or so ago.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't just intra-FS stuff- these doctors needed to have contact outside with specialists, etc. so purely intra-hospital comms wouldn't be enough.
Here's an article I've just pulled up- not the one I read originally. This is from a bit later:

The article said Optus was OK. Is she with them?Missus works at FS and she's barely had any problems with phone coverage. The understaffing is very true though unfortunately.

Most from freo didn't have much choice but to go to FS. Great hospital but massively understaffed on every single ward which is making it hell.My mate is a nurse there and said the worst thing he has done is transferring from Freo to FS.
