I love my green lawn  but I know exactly how much water it needs and also to turn off the retic when it's raining.
She's a nurse so sadly that means working at all hours :(

Respect to her - difficult job with difficult hours and not getting paid enough IMO

I'm a water nazi and we have a bore but if you saw our house you would know that I'm losing the battle

What would you have had them do?

This is the worst kind of reasoning in two-party politics. Giving people a chance is not a good way to choose the next government. Someone doing a decent job in opposition suggests next to nothing about what they'll be like in government.

Maybe not waste money? Projects such as sinking the Northbridge rail line are worthwhile but projects like Elizabeth Quay are harder to justify. Even the whole process leading up to the Burswood Stadium is questionable in itself.

The Opposition is a credible alternative and I believe that it has done enough to warrant government, especially given the incompetence of the current government.

When I played footy I used to love playing in the wet. Being as short as I am, the weather suited my game. Training not so much though.
Haha yeah everyone seems to have to work late on training nights when it's raining ;)

Burswood was the right choice, and we won't know whether the Quay is worth it until well after it's all finished.

Pointing out the government's flaws, real or imagined, is not good training for government.

I have seen nothing from Labor that makes me think oh, yes, they should definitely be running the state. At the moment it just seems like anyone promoting a Labor government is doing so on the basis that it is their turn.

The worst flaws of the government has been their failure to listen to the public on smaller issues (shark cull, local councils and the like). I don't have a problem with the current debt level, because I don't believe it is currently likely to cause long-term issues. The only thing that genuinely concerns me is asset sales.

Besides, the election is still just under two years away.

It's funny but as a young adult/child I absolutely loved playing sport in the rain, now that I'm an old fart, the thought of getting wet even dashing to the car sends me into melt down

Good luck to you all, may you all have a win
Me, I'm curling up on the lounge watching the footy and will be going into hibernation should the Hawks get beaten by the demons today

Thank god I don't work Saturdays

I have never understood this obsession with green lawns - it's one of the few things the other half and I regularly go to war over
I never water my lawn, it's as green as nature allows.

12 degrees outside now, according to google.

I liked yesterday's weather. When can we have that again?

My hubby loves a green lawn and loves his ride-on mower... but whinges about fixing sprinklers 'cos he runs over them all the time. Consequently, in the summer, our lawn gets a little patchy :(

(We have a bore, as well)

October, maybe? ;) lol
I always laugh at the posters here on BF who live in Geelong- top temp 9 degrees, top temp 12 degrees... lol

feeling like the karma truck has hit me today, though :(
I must've done 10 loads of washing over the past 3 days in preparation for the wet weekend, so I guess we'll be OK.

Good to hear you won't be hibernating, CP :D

Bed and book weather - LOVE IT
I accompanied my son to Carousel, while he waited for his car to be serviced nearby the shopping centre- and had a couple of cups of coffee, a lovely egg and bacon toastie, followed by a beautiful white choc doughnut from... guess where?? Dreamy donuts!! :) Thank you once again, BALKAN!!!

(Only problem was that we left at 7.30. :( I wish I'd been able to stay in bed with a book.)

Shops my way are painful, self service checkouts at the local supermarket full of families with big trolley loads. Doesn't bother me much, but now I can see why it bothers others. Had to get a few things, starting to despise going to local shopping centres on weekends.

In bed with a rum and coke and watching the footy is where it's at.

I steer clear of shops on the weekend as a rule- just can't stand the fight for parking, the long wait at the checkout, etc.

I would put on 5kg just looking at that combination

Can't remember the last time I had a donut - absolutely love them hot and coated in cinnamon sugar
