Been past it. Not much there. Popular for fishing if you're into that (I'm not), but my impression is there's rarely anyone there under the age of 55.

Thinking of buying a shack up there as a weekender. Would prefer Guilderton as there's the river as well but then stumbled across Seabird and it seems your dollar goes a bit further there.

Guilderton is much much better IMO, but as you say it's down to the $. I'd go Guilderton if you can, particularly if you have kids (or will have one day).

Yeah the in laws used to have a place at Guilderton and it was magic. Was up there last weekend looking at a few places but I just can't bring myself to fork out close to half a mill for places that are worse than the worst shit holes I used to share with mates when I was in my 20's. Amazing how the river and a golf course can add $100k to places.

Monday night used to be Backpackers night there.

It used to be one of the places to go on Fri/Sat nights back when I was about 18 or 19 but like everywhere in Northbridge it was shit.

My lasting memory of the Deen back in 2012 was it being full of Asians (As Stratton_Gun would probably say, no racist). It was a really bizarre demographic. That and the balcony being full of people lighting a cig for a minute and then it getting stubbed out by a bouncer. Oh, and the 'no shots after 1' posters behind the bar.

Ugh. My lasting memory of the Deen was getting groped and there being some Aus Idol reject playing in one of the rooms.

Actually my lasting memory of most clubs in Northbridge/Perth is getting groped...

I miss The Lookout If you're gonna get groped, at least have it next to the beach

Can still be a pretty dodgy area. I know a few people who rent there to be near Curtin. They cop a fair few minor flare-ups but things you don't really want to deal with.

I used to live in Koondoola so we couldn't own a car We'd just have to steal them till someone else stole it.
