I think St Kilda had a few WA players back in the 60s and early 70s when they were quite a strong team so that might explain some of the support here.

The only WA player of any note when I started supporting them was Nicky Winmar but the main reason I chose to support them was Tony Lockett.

One's from Sydney, the other one lost a bet (dirty international) who didn't really watch AFL, purely got foxtel to watch GWS, which is more then i go through to watch the hawks

I'm good friends with a diehard GWS fan, even though he always has been and still is a diehard Eagles fan too.
No ties to GWS at all, pretty sure just saw their concessions and the likelihood of them getting considerable success early.

I know a good half a dozen Suns supporters and 2 Giants supporters. The Suns ones are most due to family ties with players over there.

Blues, Hawks, Bombers, Roos all have huge support in WA. I've only been to one game where Richmond have played but they had a great turnout as well.

Last Richmond game I went to at Subi I saw the best family of Richmond supporters inside the Subi footy club beforehand. Dazza and Shazza and a future little Dustin Martin in tow.

So apparently the police are treating the incident at Trigg yesterday as being "not suspicious". WTF? Man is found floating in the water with hands and feet bound, just a bit of innocent fun turned deadly then eh? Short of literal concrete boots I actually don't know how it could be any more suspicious?

I tried to merge properly the other day on the Freeway when it was busy.

Traffic was moving at 30 or so so I moved at 30. That didn't work. I kept a car length distance in front of me. That didn't work. I tried trying to stay half a car length behind the car in the next lane. That didn't work.

Apparently what works in that situation is to move into the left lane which is free, accelerate to 60 or so to pass the people doing 30 then grind to a sudden halt at the merge point.

So following on from my post from the other week, I went to the city on Saturday night. First time in ages. Ended up in some area where there were a heap of small bars next to each other down some stairs. Was quite good. Then finished off at the Aviary. Definitely improved since over 5 years ago where there were only a couple of places really to go.
