Exactly, it changes and moves so fast. I can understand people criticizing the authorities for not informing people, but the crews/vollys on the ground are doing everything they can do to save as many properties that they can.

Without question;often operating under idiotic instruction and logistical guidance.

There is also the small matter of the resident public purse billionaire masquerading as Premier who baulked at the cost of the Keelty Report recommendations but is happy to hurl bazillions at Betty Quay.
Or in the Federal sphere,$12.4 billion worth of Strike Fighter aircraft rather than world's best and fastest supertanker firefighting planes.
More funding to DFES simply breeds another dysfunctional bureaucratic monolith.

It was incredibly hard for the fireys. The fire spread out west toward Preston Beach and they were trying to save the Forrest Hwy, they also had to concentrate on the south around Harvey and keep the Waroona fire in check. It was a terribly hard situation to be in.

& it was way to late when the Metro Crews turned up from Perth They sent trucks from Freo to Yanchep when the shit hit the fan in Yarloop.
Metro lost a truck so the fulltime fire-fighters are short a Red Truck for the rest of the season

I wish! This is my first Perth summer since 2012/13, I've spent the last two over there.

Also I'm not from Sarajevo, I'm from the far more pleasant Herzegovina region. A nice toasty 13 degrees in Mostar tomorrow
