I don't recall ever hearing anyone call it a parma.
Back in those grim days when Perth was an above ground cemetery (the 70s) parma was used on and off.

May have depended on what side of the river you came from.

Perth was such a Dread Outpost in those days that a shipment of VB or Fosters was a cultural upheaval.

I say potato scallop and parmigiana - never shorten it.

Im not fussed over the whole leaving early thing - winning or losing if I feel like going I go.
If we are going to win, I'll leave five minutes early to beat the log jam down the stairs.

If we are going to lose, I'll stay till the end. It's not worth the ribbing I'll cop next home game from the regulars in our block.

I'm the same, it's always been a parmigiana to me. By the time people started shortening the name, I'd moved on to better meals on the menu, unless free pints were involved of course.

The Parmi/Parma debate does give the bogans something to argue about though. God bless their cotton socks.

Win or lose, the smart move is to head into the Billy Walker room or similar post game for a refreshment until the masses have departed.

Sounds like a plan. Unfortunately I drive in so refreshments aren't an option.

I'm a born and raised sandgroper and don't recall anyone calling it a parma specifically. It's just a parmi.. or a parmy. straya.

Whatever you want to call it though it's ******* delicious and I love it.

I've been here 12 years and I still say Darby..just to give locals the shits.

The City of Geraldton?

I saw that too..how's the computer generated CGI landscape view at the end?

All those wonderful lush green trees as far as the eye can see..like Butler in 30 years time.

I always ask for potato cakes just to confuse the poor 15 year kid serving.

Did I just see an ad for Alkimos advertising that it's 25 minutes from the city? What, at 2 AM?
By helicopter maybe.

I had to go there a couple of weeks ago and it took more than 25 minutes from my place, which is 20 minutes north of the city.

A. Not the right thread and
B. Apologies if asked before...

but how long have you been rooting hard for the Foxes?

This. I never leave early no matter how much we are winning or losing by. Me and my mates all head up to the Subi Sports Bar and have a pint (or split a jug) and wait for traffic to go. If I don't get a lift with them after games I wait up there until the last footy train.

Rooting hard hmm?? About 20 years, since the Martin O'Neil days when they were pretty solid in the Premier League.........then a long, long time in the wilderness and now its like some kind of dream. Even this time last year we were montys to get relegated. If we were to win the league, it would be such a win for the little guy, even today they were saying Liverpool's team was worth 8 times ours in $$. Just imagine an AFL team having 8 times the salary cap???

Won't post any more on this matter as I don't wish to derail the Perth fred, but it would be a magic day for all sport
if you (a minnow as you say) can hang on.
You seem to be getting a second wind now Vardy is banging them in again.
At the very least Champions league should be yours and then hopefully you will hang onto Mahrez as well.
Shuts up all the glory hunting MU and 'Pool supporters as well.
Bonne Chance and revel in it if it happens.

Thanks would be great to see it happen but still unlikely.

Back on topic, looking forward to having a Parma and a sausage sambo at Elizabeth Quay once the restaurants all open up.
