At times I wonder if either gender is worth it.

Just get it on I think and it will all be good.

By the way, what is that Indian restaurant on the corner of James and William street like?

Any dabblers?

Not as OTT as David Thompson's Thai joint I hope.
Overpriced. Like most other Indian places.

Gogo's used to be my go to Indian. Havent been in years though. Stacks of cricket memorabilia and the Indian cricketers always go when in town so if its good enough for them... Chef was specially flown over for Sachin Tendulkars birthday to make his favourite lamb chops

Anyone caught up in the road closures for the cycling event on the weekend? From what I hear, the closures were still in-place hours after they were advertised to be reopened, and a huge amount of other roads were closed but not advertised which caused chaos. I've also heard reports that they were supposed to be letting traffic across in intervals but failed to do so in some areas. The route itself looked a mind-boggling decision by cutting off the north-east.

I had a half marathon in the hills yesterday and for me coming from the south I got no delays at all but all the people coming from the Northern suburbs were running late or even missed the event completely despite planning ahead with the closures that were advertised.

agree

altho why do some/most cyclists insist on riding on the white line (ie the lane separater when there is one drawn on the road) ?
Smoothest place on the road, typically cleaner than the bike lane which is never cleaned and where the refuse of the road gets dumped (without car wheels to clear the rubbish).

Just touching on the subject of Perth girls, as someone that was from interstate the girls/whole scene was so clique. If you didn't go to <insert girls semi posh school> or hang out in Claremont on a Sunday or know a West Coast player you were pretty much dead in the water. Yes the girls were attractive but for whatever reason they have massive tickets on themselves. Compared to Melbourne where I am now it is (well was, am taken now if my gf is reading this) so much easier to talk to not just random girls but also guys. It always reminded me of some sort of big American High School where you were either a jock, a pretty girl or a loser, nothing inbetween. Even at places like the Paddo there was this kind of behaviour which I often found bizarre.

Disclaimer: I am hideously ugly and spit when I talk which may go some way to explain said female behaviour.

I love Perth, the perfect city in the perfect location, imperfectly made in a state image.

Let the state determine limits, such as no building on the beach, but never rely on the state for artistic decisions, such as the half wit art at Elizabeth Quay.

Perth needs to learn the civilized great city balance between civic collective virtues and private innovation and art.

No government half wit endlessly moving staplers around his or her desk will ever get the art part right.
