It's definitely been a strange few days weather wise.

On Saturday morning I went with my sister and her dog down to the dog beach and it was clear blue skies and sunny, by lunchtime it was raining.

The new Virgin terminal is ridiculous - fifo workers don't Want to pay to park so the line for drop off, pick up is out on the main road into the international airport and meanwhile the Virgin car park is flipping empty

I think what she might be getting at is if you make it uneconomical for a mining company to mine they will just shut down and go into care and maintenance until market conditions make it favourable again putting even more people out of work.

What's everyone's thoughts on Royalties for Regions? I might be a bit biased having family in the country but it has done some good like restoring glory to some historic regional towns and providing support for locals but then some places that have some 100 people get shit they really don't need.

Grylls really is a clutch player when it comes to State elections.

Grylls really is a clutch player when it comes to State elections.

Grylls was the beneficiary of a situation which saw him basically being able to put the Barnett government over a rather large barrel in order to get what he wanted. He took full advantage of the situation so kudos to him.

It's done some good for Karratha with the new rec centre + pool which is an absolute monster. Not sure about what some of the money was used for is all that good (Pelago buildings, street art)
