So many sections of the City are at a gridlock - took me 20 minutes to get down Newcastle street from Beaufort street. The accident tbh couldn't have happened at a worse section of the freeway

I was just talking to a friend who is NEVER out that way but just happened to be coming through this morning... poor bugger. She ended up coming off, going through the city, then getting back on after the incident- then got caught a little further up the road... probably where all the traffic backs up from the merge after the Farrington Rd exit, where the works are near Roe Highway I usually see that backed up to way back near Leach every morning at about 8am

That section of Freeway suuuuuucks.

To go South you need to be in the two right lanes else you end up taking one of the city exits. If you couple the fact that 90% of people don't know this and 95% don't know how to merge it's a complete disaster.

I usually end up in the busport from that section.

When I came back to perth from Geraldton I still had GN plates on my car for a few years. I used to take advantage of that in the city, taking shortcuts through the Taxi/bus only part of Hay street, through the bus port, wherever, playing the "I'm from the country I don't know how it all works" card.

Had a look at our old house in Perth on Google Earth inspired by this thread, our part of Manning is now Salter Point it seems. Managed to use Google Earth to navigate from there to Manning Primary, funny the things you remember.

haha tell me about it. The only time I go is for friends birthdays or for gigs. There is a Asian? bouncer there with this shitty black mohawk who is a bit heavy but every time I have been there or walked passed Capitol, he is an absolute prick to people without fail. Every time I have gone in, he has some smart arse comment to say and thinks he's king of the world. Once, while standing near the side talking to my friends, he came over and told me to leave. I asked why, to which he was silent. He led me towards the entry and I turned around planning to ask him again why and he proceeded to grab me by the throat and slam me over the steps and start strangling me. Luckily, I knew a bouncer who works near me who happened to be working that night and he grabbed the guy off me, apologising etc.

I understand they have to be pretty vigilant at times but I'm not a troublemaker and was doing no harm. Guy is the biggest piece of shit in Perth.

Good rule of thumb is anywhere with bouncers is not worth going, just about. Ditto if they scan your ID

Who gives a shit it's not as if it's going the be easier to fake or something because it's a couple of weeks expired, common bloody sense. Plus I was about 22 and looked that age.

Meh, i've only met him a handful of times and he's not a close acquaintance so feel free to hate him

But most bouncers tend to get a god complex so not surprised.
