I've never had a problem with the casino bouncers. Mind you I rarely go there.
Neither do I, much better off going out in Northbridge.

Went there last to watch the St Kilda debacle while being harassed by a drunken random Freo fan trying to get me to sing songs during the game whilst we were getting belted and trying to be my life coach and mentor and what not, pissed me off.

All I know is that the son in law is an electrician and that as far as I know they are all coming home at that time - maybe the rest of the trades / workers are staying who knows.
Sorry, CP- I missed your post about your SIL working there but read it after I'd asked you my question.
The Roy Hill mine is huge- I think there will be 2000 permanent employees working or going to be working up there plus about 8000 temporary workers. (I just can't comprehend numbers that big on a mine site!). That means loads of contracting companies and subcontractors- I guess there will be some who can shut down but others who can't. I know a couple of young blokes working up there- one's staying on but I'm not sure about the other.

Would be funny if it was someone that actually posted on the Freo board.

Very, very average and normal looking white guy picking fights with 14-year olds out front of the Freo Markets tonight. Didn't seem drunk in the slightest and no signs of drug use or anything... the ****? Just created a hostile environment

Shouldn't you pick on blokes your own age

Four years ago I was refused entry to the casino after one scotch and coke. Me and a group of mates had travelled up from Bunbury. Yet two years ago I was absolutely wasted one night (had about 3 quarters of a bottle of scotch) and got in. Some bouncers are too obsessed with looking tough instead of learning to spot people who are actually drunk and should be refused entry, without false positives.

Freo has always been a hotspot for just weird units..

If you want something new, we can talk about my hatred for the douchebag security guard at Capitol if you'd like.

Anything to do with Capitol/Amplifier is douchebag related. That's why no major promoters go near the place to have gigs anymore and they're either at the Astor or Bakery.

I went to Perth for a wedding once and ended up pashing a chic on a nightclub dancefloor.

Only thing was, her tongue was as long as long as a giraffe's, and she sunk it in heaps deep. Was a nice feeling, but just freaked me out how far she sunk it down my throat.

Cor, give us a kiss.

I guess it was a bit like that. At one point we were in the corner and she was sucking my fingers. Strange girl.
Recently eat KFC? i think that might be the reason

Where is/was Lilac Hill?
Bit behind, but how good is this ground. Admittedly played a fair bit of cricket for Midland-Guildford but the setting is pretty darn nice. Not a whole lot of grounds border a river from what I know. The Charity Match was out of this world as well.

Yeah nice ground. Could never score a run there though. Easy to get distracted in the field too with planes flying a couple hundred metres over your head every half hour which I found pretty cool

Used to go to the TAFE across the street back in the day and there were always weirdos hanging around that bus stop. The grown man who looked like Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter trying to pick fights with school kids waiting for the bus takes the cake for sure.

Most of them are going home over that period anyway. Such a strange and random thing to do

Construction workers usually go on Christmas break for two weeks but production staff just keeps going. I'm spending Christmas and New Year on site, luck of the draw I guess.
Having said that, Roy Hill is still in early construction stage so there would only be skeleton staff on site now, the rest are back home.

Construction went home with a skeleton crew behind but production crew were as per normal roster.

The comment "strange and random" was in relation to only one piece of fruit being poisoned and the reasoning behind the poisoning. It is appearing more and more likely that the culprit may be the guy who "discovered" the poison fruit - it now just needs to be determined as to why

Not sure if any of you are football fans, but next Sunday, the first ever Harmony cup is being held at cracovias ground in a 7 a side tournament. It's for charity so if you feel like coming down and watching some of the lads taking each other on, come on down.

Do you or anyone else remember that ground Old Collegians played at? The footy side? They wore Carlton jumpers. The oval was up near Nedlands and right on the river, a little postage stamp ground, but it was beautiful – one side overlooked the Swan River, the other against some native trees, the outer was this big grass hill, and the other end backed onto these obviously nice, old, expensive houses. Only played there once in the ammos colts but it was so cool.

Yep, beautiful setting, however disgraceful changerooms and not much better clubrooms.

I remember the away change rooms were a maze, and you had to end up snaking through the home rooms as well? In all honesty, most rooms were shocking but that's half the fun.
