Oi those roundabouts are a national icon.Albany was originally going to be WA's capital city, it's the oldest European settlement in WA, but then Perth took over due to the Swan River/Freo harbour area being considered more desirable.
It could have been WA's version of Melbourne with shit beaches, cold rainy weather, a heap of hipster cafes/pubs and Silent Alarm would probably still live there.
Still think Albany is a good place for another WA city, it has a great harbour with the King George Sound, magnificent tourist attractions like Dog Rock and the Whaling Museum. Don't think it will ever take off though, last time I was there they didn't even have traffic lights, it was all roundabouts.
Another person was attempting to kill the snake and the man that was bitten intervened, picked up the snake and as a result of picking it up was bitten two to three times.

Sharks are so 2013, this year we're all about snakes.

What a hero. Tries to kill the snake and then refuses medical aid after being bitten, hopefully it got away. Isn't it something like 90% of snake attacks are due to people actively trying to catch/kill them in the first place?

Yep. Always liked Albany. Haven't been there this century though
Not brewing their own beer anymore. GuttedTry saying that down the Whitey
Oh wow, I hadn't heard about this. Just had a read on the net about it - not even real lights. Baby steps lolThey just put some traffic lights in at the big roundabout for the ANZAC Commemerative weekend. Expecting up to 50k of visitors, should be interesting....
Even that is downplaying it. Places like Two Peoples, Cheynes, and some up near Denmark are amazing. On tier with anywhere else in the world. Mids is also a pretty great beach, white sand, long, never packed, rarely choppy in summer and great for swimming – rare for a main beach. Perth obviously has some nice ones but there's always something less tranquil and spoilt about them. That and the granite and ripsYeah I was being a bit harsh on Albany's beaches, Middleton isn't too bad either, not the best by WA standards but not as bad as Melbourne.
It's still the sameYep. Always liked Albany. Haven't been there this century though
