It always amazed me that Peppermint Grove has it's own Council.

It's like everyone living in Claremont and Mosman Park are too poor to be allowed to share the same LGA

Elitist central. Peppermint Grove is hands down the nicest suburb in Australia. Shits on Toorak, Mosman and Bellevue Hill. And anywhere in Brisbane or Adelaide doesn't come anywhere close.

And as nice as surrounding suburbs are, it's a different feel to neighboring Cottesloe, Claremont, and Mosman Park, so they probably do need their own council when it comes to building and development.

Getting back to the DLS debate. Why don't people just create there own daylight savings if they want to?

Some companies do flexitime. A friend of my hubby's is a stockbroker and he starts at something like 5 in the morning, so he's ready when the market over east opens at 7am or whatever. Then he's finished by 2pm or so.

When I'm working in Perth, I'm on flexitime.
I normally start about 6 am and finish about 3 pm. If I've had a party for one the night before, I'll start about 8 am and be home by noon.

Peppermint Grove, sounds like you're living in a suburb named after a Roses chocolate.
Its named after the smell their farts make.

I think it's Bond street of Monument, actually looks more like 50m away.

The house is directly across the road from where that woman got murdered
Who was murdered? I used to know 3 dudes (2 were bros) who lived in that street.

Mosman Park has it's bad pockets. Battle St had to change it's name because it's reputation was so bad. Then there's the area around Wellington St and Stirling Hwy which was heroin central for a few decades. Lest not forget the notorious Cottee Boys either.

Those Cottee boys were bad news...

I think it was spelt Kottee but pronounced Coddy. Lot's a people scared of them in 80s but I thought they were ok. Over rated in the toughness stakes.
