By the looks of it the lake was actually partially fenced off. But yeah it's got to be more about educating parents then fencing off every lake in the city.

Having played cricket there and fished many a ball out of that very lake, it isnt fenced off.

Same - My dad put us kids on his shoulders down at the local foreshore and walked out as far as he could and then threw us off and told us to swim. May have only been dog paddle but it was the beginning of a long, wonderful connection with the ocean
Your Dad might've been trying to throw you back! ;)
Just kidding!
Yeah, that method worked for some.

Not perth related but I work with someone with horrendous BO and I've always wondered what the best way to approach them about it would be. Personally I would be mortified if someone said something to me.

I prefer the subtle approach.

I have a friend who can be pretty rude. One day we were studying together in the library and a girl sitting next to her took her shoes off and put her shoes next to the table leg near my friend. My friend could not stand the smell so I told her to move and sit somewhere else. Instead, she decided to confront the girl and asked her to move her shoes away because her feet smelt. I could not believe it. The girl moved her shoes but I don't know what her reaction was since it was a library and it was quiet. I'm guessing she was mighty offended though..

I don't get how people don't know that they are on the nose - don't they wonder what the smell is that keeps following them around

You've got that arse about I reckon. Poor form by the girl taking her shoes off with smelly feet in a library

Not into kebabs. They are alright depending on the place but they just don't fill my appetite.

And the queue for the one in William St was big too.

Might have to stick to Northbridge for my post drink eats next time.

The CBD part is poor for variety and certain stuff not being open late.

Not on the same par as late night alcohol fuelled munchies but I would love a Brunetti's type store in Perth. Apart from greens in leederville I don't think there is much else about where you can go for coffee and cake late at night

Got a friend like Kramer?

Also works for girlfriends with one bad but fixable feature

No kebab shops?
The 3am kebab is a nightclubbing institution.

If you didn't manage to go home with someone on a night out, you could always console yourself stuffing your face with a double meat kebab with the lot covered in garlic sauce.

I used to eat a lot of kebabs.

I miss my kebab days.

I remember when someone graffitied the sign on that cafe to add the ck to the Co bit on Greens and Co.
They have cleaned that up so many times now for someone to always add the ck back. Makes me laugh everytime.

You know you're having a night out in Perth when there are supersize queues for Maccas and HJs at 12am as nothing else in terms,of fast food chains open.

Didn't get kicked out this week?
