I'm early 20s and my mates love the joint as well.
Might just because they're hanging out together and it makes them happy? It wasn't too long ago that the same kids were always at Macca's. Then I think it was Subway (is there anywhere to sit and eat at Subway or is that just a takeaway place?).

It's the Circle of Fast Food joints :)

Anyone here effected by the shocking news about Raffles banning Lycra wearing folk from their pub? You can even bet on which pub will follow suit...only in Perth..where any news is...news. image.jpg

Banning men in Lycra should be a more common occurrence than it currently is

There's a charcoal chicken in dianella and CT. In inglewood next to Coles. It always seems to be busy too.

Love their chicken rolls. Red roosters are horrible in comparison.
There's two at Dianella sc. the one next to the Chinese joint is better. Outstanding Portuguese charcoal chicken and ribs..awesome salads and spicy rice. Great value too ..15 bucks gets u a big feed.

They're a menace to society. All those bandy legged 50 year knobs all sitting around a table sippin lattes...it's pathetic. Banning fit chicks in Lycra is another story...let them sit.

I go to that place quite often, terrific chicken and far better than any other chicken place I've tried. Were you there when it used to be a McDonald's?

Nah.. I'm down Rockingham way and first found it a year ago. I can only dream of being able to get such food from anywhere around here. There's not one decent chicken joint from rocko to dawesville unfortunately..

If you give me a tip I'll deliver it down your way.

It is a pretty popular place now and maybe the salads are getting a bit ugh, but the chicken is still fantastic.

It's an absolute goldmine. Always busy... They would turn over 50 grand month easy.

I don't know why you want want to go to a bar in lycra anyway.

I sort of get The Raffles, it's right on the river and has a nice outdoor area and the cycle path goes right past it, but who the **** is going to ride their bike to Ezra Pound? I've ridden my bike past The Raffles probably a dozen or so times, but I've never thought of going in. Firstly, it's full of ***** and a pint cost me $12 in 2007 so **** knows what it would cost now. Secondly, I'm hot and sweaty from riding my bike and while I don't feel the need to dress up like Cadel Evans to do that am still wearing cycling clothes. Patrons enjoying a $15 glass of NZ SSB and a $45 steak and chips (sorry, frites) don't really need an eyeful of my junk. I've never once thought 'I feel like going for a bike ride today, I think I'll ride into one of the laneways in Northbridge'.

You'll go to a friggen cafe though.

Don't lie, I've seen your type there.

Nah, I'm not middle aged or fat, sorry.

The idea of sitting around for a prolonged period in sweaty bike clothes does not appeal. Doing so surrounded by fat middle aged men in lycra appeals less.

Don't know what the fuss is tbh - no different from other places that have dress codes so I don't know why the Lycra set would think they are above such requirements

No singlets
No thongs
No Lycra
No big deal

i just don't get this whole dress up like a tour rider and then pedal along for miles looking at someone's arse until you reach an eating establishment... People don't go jogging and stop off halfway for a muffin washed down with 600 ml of coffee.

Dickheads.

Any fast food chicken is poor. Nandos included.
I paid $22 for my last large half chicken and chips meal at Nandos. Crazy stuff. Its not even half the quality to demand that price. Better off eating at the pub or just forking out half that at a fast food place who aren't in denial that their food isn't fine dining standard.
